The question is no longer whether we support immigration, the question is whether we will fight for our neighbors while federal agents kill people on the street. I will fight to:

Shut down ICE on Day One. Vote to immediately cut all funding for ICE to end this reign of terror.

Reinstate lawful rights of detainees. Fast-track an evaluation of the safety and immigration status of all people in the system, including reuniting of families.

Use the power of my office to hold people accountable. I will advocate for calling ICE leaders and agents before committees under oath to force transparency and accountability. If you broke the law - as an agent, leader or collaborator - you will be held accountable.

Rebuild a new immigration system that codifies process into binding enforcement laws so we never leave it up to the whims of the White House again. These will include a focus on due process, stopping racial profiling, and making mass raids illegal.

How we’ll pay for this: re-allocate ICE funding, plus civil penalties and settlements collected from private detention contractors who violated rights.
